With Discoveries: A Step-by-Step Guide To Writing Paragraphs and Essays, we share what we have learned, what we know works best, and what ensures that students understand the value of writing in their lives. Developed from sound classroom practices, Discoveries provides a user-friendly approach to writing that helps students succeed. Every assignment chapter in Parts One and Two guides students step by step through the process of writing a paragraph or essay using one of the standard rhetorical patterns.
