| 520 ## - RESUMEN, ETC. |
| Resumen, etc. |
Reading Styles follows on naturally from Style Update 1 and 2, or it can stand alone as an independent reading program. The vibrant and engaging texts in the 16 topic-based units come from a variety of contemporary sources and are especially interesting and up-to-date. They cover four main academic areas: physical sciences & math, life sciences, business & economics, and humanities & arts and are aimed directly at students who will need to read in English in their future academic or professional lives.

The focus of the book is on teaching the skills that students need in order to manage texts which are above their productive level in English. With Reading Styles, students learn reading and vocabulary strategies which will make them more competent readers in English. They also learn to recognize and understand grammar structures which could potentially cause confusion when they encounter them in texts. The Class CD adds an optional listening dimension to the texts, and the Test Disk provides ready-made exams on the strategies and grammar recognition taught in each unit |
